Primary 7 have settled into their new class very well. They are enjoying having more responsibility within the school and are excited for the year ahead. Within writing, Primary 7are working on information reports and persuasive writing. This will tie in with our work on ‘Plastic Pollution’ as we try and make a change in our homes, school, community and world. Primary 7 will have opportunities to lead their own learning within this topic to develop their skills. Our class novel is, ‘Divided City.’ This captivating read will allow the children to explore the various reading strategies in depth over the next few weeks. The class enjoy participating in the Daily Mile which has lead to improved fitness levels within the class. In RE there will be a focus on Covenants, Monastic Communities and Ancient Universities.
Primary 7 are enjoying spending time with their buddies and have successfully helped the new primary ones settle into our school. They spend playtimes with them ensuring they are happy in their new environment.
Primary 7 are very much looking forward to their upcoming Ardmay trip!
